Interior Design Schools Help To Beautify Our World
January 11th, 2012
Throughout most of history, interior design was reserved for large public places, homes of the wealthy, palaces and even tombs. Ordinary people did not have the resources to beautify their surroundings. During the Renaissance, as the middle class started to emerge, interior design spread to the masses.Ever since then, designers have been improving the look, feel, and usefulness of our homes. Interior design is not just about ornamentation any more. It’s creating a total environment, a beautiful, functional place. When you choose an interior design school, there are several important points to keep in mind. You will want to investigate their design studio, what computer hardware and software will be used, and will you get hands on experience. Some schools have a relationship with architectural or interior design firms to help students get real world experience, in addition to classroom time. A good school will be accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation. CIDA has been holding schools to a single standard since 1970.
