PREFACE

In 1307 the Order of the Poor Knights of the Temple of Solomon “ The Knights Templar “ knew they were in trouble. As champions of Mary Magdalene and protectors of the belief that she and Jesus had been wed, they had lost favor with the church and Pope Clement V. As financiers to the throne of France, they had become a thorn in the side of King Phillip IV. It was only a matter of time before these two would conspire against them and orchestrate their downfall. The Knights, in response to this impending threat, had established a secret refuge, far across the western sea, in a land they had learned of from the Northmen years before. A land they called Vinland.
